Children’s Assistive Technology Service (C.A.T.S.) proudly presents our 10th Annual Hallowheels event this October. Imagine a world where wheelchairs and walkers become vehicles of boundless imagination and joy. That’s what Hallowheels is all about!

🌟 Unleash Creativity: Every child’s imagination is unique, and so is every costume. Whether it’s a simple costume or an elaborate transformation of their mobility device, all forms of creativity are celebrated at Hallowheels. We’ll provide a starter “kit” for the costume frame, step-by-step instructional videos, and even virtual assistance to help bring your ideas to life. We understand that not all families may have the time for an intricate build, but the spirit of celebration is what truly matters.

📸 Spotlight Moment: Share photos of your child’s dazzling costume. These will be showcased on our website during Halloween week, celebrating their creativity and spirit.

🎉 Trunk or Treat:

In addition to the online fundraiser, this year’s festivities include local Trunk or Treat events, where families and children of every ability are invited to participate.  There are events in each of three regions on Saturday, October 24th:

Richmond

• Where: Mobility Works, co-partnered with The Whole Family Foundation

Hampton Roads

• Where: Chartway Building, in partnership with the Chartway Promise Foundation

• Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Roanoke

• Where: The Bast Center at Roanoke College
• Address: 310 N. Market Street, Salem, VA 24153
• Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Friends, family, and supporters can donate for their favorite costumes with a $1.00 donation or more and there’s no limit on how much you can support! Every dollar raised supports C.A.T.S.’s mission of providing life-changing assistive technology to children with disabilities at no cost. Donate early, donate often, and help us make a difference one costume and one dollar at a time!

1. Complete and submit the Hallowheels Participant Application and Authorization to Release Photographs, Videos, and Voice Recordings by October 15th, 2026.
2. Craft and photograph your child’s costume.
3. Email photos to C.A.T.S. [email protected] by October 21st.
4. Share and encourage friends and family to celebrate between October 23rd and November 1st, 2026.

• By participating, you agree to a photo/video release. Your child’s photos might appear on C.A.T.S.’s website, social media, public media, and sponsor sites. Rest assured, no personal information will be published — only the costume name and city/town of origin.
• Remember, it’s all for a good cause! Each of these amazing costumes represents a child who inspires us every day. Your donations help us continue providing assistive technology so kids like them can grow, thrive, and live healthy, happy lives. We encourage you to share the love and support as many of these incredible creations as you can!
